As a Server, you are the face of Denny's. You will be greeting, seating, and serving our guests in a friendly and courteous manner. You will help by taking and delivering food and beverage orders, anticipating the needs of our guests, suggesting our meal items, receiving payments, and assisting other staff as needed.
As a host/hostess, you are the face of Denny's. You will be greeting and seating our guests in a friendly and courteous manner. You will be receiving payments, responding to guest concerns and assisting other staff as needed.

The Server Assistant maintains the interior and exterior of the restaurant, adheres to food handling and sanitation procedures, provides support to servers by assisting with expediting food orders, bussing tables, and directing guest complaints to the manager on duty.
As a Cook, you bring the culinary vision of Denny's to life. You are responsible for preparing and presenting food following the Denny's menu, food specifications, and timing standards.
As a Service Assistant, you will help maintain the interior and exterior of the restaurant, adhere to sanitation procedures and anticipate the needs of our guests. You will be responsible for all duties related to dishwashing and maintaining general cleanliness of the common areas.
As a Food Service Supervisor, you will help create a welcoming and quality experience for our guests. You will be assisting in the supervision of 15-20 crew members and running the restaurant in the absence of management personnel while upholding Denny's service and quality standards. You will be reporting to the General Manager.
As a Bar One Supervisor, you will help create a welcoming and quality experience for our guests. You will be assisting with the supervision of 4-15 crew members and running the restaurant in the absence of management personnel while upholding Bar One's service and quality standards
As a Kitchen Manager, you are responsible in supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management, and supervision of staff. You will also be responsible in assisting on our Kitchen's operations to ensure consistency in quality and finances. You will be reporting to the General Manager and you will assist with the supervision of up to 100 crew members.
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities. You will also be assisting in employee selection, retention, continuous operational improvement. You will be reporting to the General Manager while assisting with the supervision of approximately 15 20 crew members.
The General Manager is responsible for the total operational functionality and profitability of the restaurant. They are accountable for planning, organizing, and coordinating all resources and activities in the restaurant including setting targets, achieving goals, and controlling costs. Additional activities requiring their involvement are recruiting, training, and coaching the entire restaurant team.

I joined the Denny’s family in 2012 as a Restaurant Manager. I was promoted to AGM position in 2016 and then to the role of General Manager at the SW Marine (Vancouver) location in 2017. With the consistent guidance and encouragement from Corporate Training Manager, Cassandra Limoges, and my Regional Manager, Tony Tong, we achieved our goal and became a Certified Training Store in BC.
I always enjoy having conversations with our guests and employees who have helped me understand more about their cultures. Therefore, I can make myself better and stronger. I truly believe “Team-Work” is the key to our success. I always seek any opportunity to grow and appreciate the opportunity that Denny’s has given me. Denny’s culture and the amazing team working here has made it a great place to grow my career.

John Yoingco – Regional Manager
My name is John Yoingco and I began my Denny’s career as a server in Crowfoot in 1999 and was promoted to Restaurant Manager a year later. I worked at various locations in the next few years and was given the opportunity to take on the General Manager role in the Calgary West location in 2007. Eventually became a Multi Unit Manager in 2010.
I have been blessed with the amount of support and mentorship from my supervisors and peers throughout these years along with all the amazing staff that have worked beside me. They have all been instrumental to my growth, both professionally and personally.
It is the culture of Family environment that I love the most about the company and the number of opportunities to grow from within, no matter what position you start with there is always room to grow!
